Whitfield Community Centre: Empowering Communities

Our mission is to create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment that fosters social connections, strengthens community spirit, and inspires creativity. Whitfield Community Centre is a place where people of all ages come together to connect, share, and support one another. 

Our building has been a Youth and Community Centre since the 1960s. In recent years it was known as 'Pure Vibes', In August 2024 its previous owners, Derbyshire County Council, announced its closure. After months of campaigning and fundraising, the centre was bought and re-opened  by a group of locals from Whitfield Food Club. 

Whitfield Community Centre is owned and run by Whitfield Together Ltd, a not-for-profit Charitable Company Limited by Guarantee. 

The centre has two halls as well as some small meeting/therapy rooms that we hire out to local groups, organisations and businesses.
