We’re thrilled to share some wonderful news that Whitfield Together has won first prize in this year’s Crompton & Woodcock Awards!
The awards, run annually by High Peak Community and Voluntary Support (CVS) and supported by High Peak Borough Council, recognise exceptional community groups across the High Peak that have made a real difference over the past year. To be chosen from all the brilliant organisations doing vital work in our area means the world to us.
Barbara accepted the £750 prize on our behalf at the High Peak CVS Annual General Meeting and Community Network Event. As she put it: “We welcome hundreds of people through our doors each week — from newborns coming with their parents to the community café, through to people in their 90s enjoying some indoor curling. Winning this award is fabulous recognition of the work we undertake.”
None of this would be possible without our incredible volunteers, our partners, and everyone who walks through our doors. This award belongs to all of you.
